Welcome to the Open Architecture for Dynamic Infrastructures Collaboration Site.
 | IMPORTANT
Much of the work done under the OpenDI project will transfer (at least in concept) to the Veriscale Manager Project.
PLEASE READ THE FAQ ABOUT THIS SITE AND OVERALL SITE STATUS AND NEWS!!* |

Dynamic Infrastructures is a set of architectures, best practices, reference implementations, and associated tool kits and building blocks for:
- Developing Models for Architecture and Policy Abstraction around Network Scale Infrastructures (NSI)
- Providing an Architecture Delivery Platform using open tools and products as one "way" of doing things
- It's Built using a Community of Users (including partners, vendors, customers, etc.)
We are finding DI architecture concepts and the tool set to be interesting in solving cloud computing, <everything> as a service architectures, and utility platform problems.
It is our idea that DI is really di – everything will be dynamic infrastructures soon if they are not already!
 | Some of DI's Value Props...
*Help customers develop a reference architectures around network-scale services and infrastructures
*Help customers integrate their use cases into tools that help maintain the system (that is the DI instance)
**(e.g. create standards, provision, deploy, change, and continuous service management etc.)
*Provide a network scale infrastructure as a general purpose platform that can be modified via "software" to support many architectures/services
**Rapid Scalability (start small – go big with the same use case/architectures)
*Help link customers, their developers and services to the infrastructure (e.g. help provision their service using the RA) |
Site Notes:
This site is the home page and "splash page" that will direct you to other DI areas.
Forums are linked on the right hand side and should be used as the primary discussion forums for topics and documents presented here.
