Sun Java Communications Suite Wiki Read Me First

About This Site

This site contains the documentation for Sun Java Communications Suite and its component products. Beginning with the Communications Suite 6 release, this site represents a change in how you will access Communications Suite information:

• All new information for Communications Suite will be written and delivered on this wiki space (and no longer on docs.sun.com).
• Anyone who has registered and obtained a login is able to contribute to the information; once authenticated, you can use the Comments feature or directly add to the information itself.
• You can register for a Sun Online Account (SOA) here. A Sun Developer Network (SDN) account also enables you to log in and contribute.
• Information for previous releases (such as Communications Suite 5) will stay on doc.sun.com for now. In many instances, previously released information is still applicable. Over time, we plan on migrating information about previous releases to this wiki.
• Here's an example of how this model will work: All documentation for Convergence--the new Communications Suite web client--will be delivered to this wiki space. New information for existing products, such as Messaging Server 7.0, will also be delivered to this wiki. Existing manuals, such as the Messaging Server 6.3 Administration Guide will remain on docs.sun.com. Those manuals are still the place to go for relevant tasks and concepts. Over time, information published prior to Communications Suite 6, and that resides on docs.sun.com, will be migrated to this wiki space.
