Still the wrong link almost a week later . . . you deleted all the earlier posts about the incorrect link but you didn't fix it? Nice. Hopefully the actual product is more reliable than whomever manages this content.

Actually, the wiki did get updated last week to correct the incorrect link in the 'CIFS and SCSI' entry (I posted the correct URL in the comments) and I've verified that the change is done (see versions), it looks like a nasty side-effect of this wiki implementation that comments are getting cleared on versioning of the page ... at least I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt first, until proven otherwise.

I've searched for the correct link for the 'Availability and Clustering' movie, also, but it does not seem to be a simple typo/substitution, so short someone on the team consulting their records and posting the link, we'll have to wait.

It looks like possibly the wrong movie was uploaded, so it appears in 2x locations on brightcove ... so we might have to wait until the original artifact can be retrieved.

Sorry, folks. We seem to have a problem with the video storage service. Believe it or not, at several times (however briefly) everything was okay. We are working on solving this rather strange problem.

Guys, the videos are waaaay too low resolution - 360x250?! It is impossible to view what is being shown on screen.

Are there HD videos or even something larger to make out what is actually being shown?

    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

Matt, your point is well-taken, but unfortunately the size reflects the classic challenge of balancing resolution against (average) bandwidth. I think these videos really are best for the dialog between the engineers. To get a closer look at the interface itself, you might want to check out the interactive demonstration at link in the right column above (Sun+Storage 7000 Management Software Demonstration): this is pretty cool, as it simulates the various components at a higher resolution (even there, we were directed to keep the resolution down so that it wouldn't clog the ether...)

Which is why the interactive demo (incidentally, created by engineer Nick Kloski using Adobe Activate) is pretty handy. (Also, you might note that the virtual appliance also currently requires VMware, so you have a lot to download and install just to kick the tires.)

Thanks for the quick reply Although I expected that answer.

The interactive is certainly viewable, it's a shame about the videos though - when so many other companies & sites achieve this fine.

        A MP4 (H264) download would be a great option.

    Fantastic information available here.

Great interviews which enlightened me to subtle features that were easily overlooked or omitted from the internal project pages available.

    Thank you very much!
