    Why does this resource make zero mention of the fact that luupgrade -t will not work with jar'd patches and that the patches come in jar format? I know I can just extract them, but if detailed instructions don't mention that, it makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong.

      Good point. I had a similar problem with p7zip that is not packed with Solaris 9 and I hade to make an upgrade with only one reboot (a critical system). In the step-by-step guide it was not mention at all. Thanks for your comment, I think it'll be useful for me.
