ASR SNMP Trap Simulator

ASR Integration with monitoring tools.

Auto Service Request (ASR) is designed to automatically open service requests when specific hardware faults occur on qualified Sun products.

The ASR team is developing a feature to send SNMP traps to customers' monitoring systems to provide notification when ASR creates a service request.
The trap includes:

  • Identity of the ASR asset where the fault was detected (Serial number, hostname, product type)
  • Fault information (summary description, link to knowledge article)
  • Service Request infomration (ID, link to Member Support Center, severity, creation date, customer contact)

You can read a  brief description of this planned feature and download the ASR SNMP trap simulator software to test integration with your monitoring tools.
